David galenson's new book is about artists of being either a conceptual innovator or an experimental innovator. Some people are very influential early in their career and seem to be their conceptiul like antie warhall, he says. And then oftentimes what also happens is that whoever paved the way as the experimental creator, the conceptual creator comes in and kind of takes that and runs with it. i was just at sasan's studio in southern france six weeks ago, and I asked our tour guide to take me to the place where he made the famous painting of the mountain and i it was one of the more spiritual moments of my life standing right there.
