Inflation Expectations Are Anchored
For now, central banks are talking tough and for the time being, they have some credibility. The markets are not yet expecting them to blink and win pout. And therefore, inflation expectations are anchored. But if I'm right, and the economic pain has not started because we're barely starting the recession in the UK,. Not yet in the U.S., despite all the first half of the year number. If instead the pressure is rising, you lose on the equity, discount factor goes higher as you saw this year. So there are alternatives that I think about, but they are not the traditional ones.
