She says these alerts are most likely to happen outside of school hours, when there may not be any one to respond. These systems work by flagging key words, but what words should be flagged and who should be for picking them? i can think of all kinds of cenarios where issues like that could come up,. If a student is talking about the fact that they were a victim of a crime, who's to say that the parents weren't the perpetrators? That is not howse chools work.
