There is a lot of debate over to what extent we should be allowing weapon systems that are autonomous or semi-autonomous on battlefields. There's even movements to ban autonomous weapon systems before the UN. "We did try to use animals as autonomous weapons for many, many years back to ancient times," he says. But obviously with machines today, we can do much different things and more precise things.
