The Trial of George Long

George Long was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Lucina Broadwell. The prosecution had a difficult case to make, as there were no witnesses to the crime. George Long sat next to his lawyer, who planned to question Harry Broadwell's alibi and point out that it was Broadwell, not Long, who had a motive to kill her. After Long finished looking at photographs, he got out of his chair and stepped over to the bedrail to look at the clothes.
