The Importance of Two Teams Over the Other
The Bridgestone, Bridgestone and Michelin era was a difficult time for Formula One. Michael Schumacher in 2005 just couldn't even compete with Fernando Alonso. I don't know if it would be different in this day and age of F1. But once the top teams show a preference for one over the other, all the other teams will follow them. So you're effectively back to one.
