The Power of History
I think it's worth saying that as you folks have pointed out, right, the archive is a source of power and exclusion. I don't want to diminish that or challenge that in any way. But there are historians working to read into archival silences and recover marginalized voices. And part of the blame lies with historians. There is a way in which history has not been able to successfully insert itself into historical memory.
