How to Get a Significant P Value in Scientific Research
In scientific experiments, the accepted criteria for a significant result is a p value of zero point zero five. There's nothing magic about this number; there's just general agreement that this is a reasonable threshold for significance. Using five % as a target level means that one out of every 20 results is not actually a real result. It's just attributable to the researcher getting unlucky.
