How to Avoid Major Storms
The point is to find a system that works for you Okay, number one Aside from any really major storms the boat and its crew should be prepared mentally and physically to handle anything offshore. With that attitude you must you must only cross oceans during the best seasons and take no chances of sailing Into a named storm. Avoid these bad times of the year and you'll more than likely avoid the really bad survival type weather. Study the pilot charts. Get your ass north before June and no going into the North Atlantic in winter or even fall for that matter.
