Is Propofol a Better Sedative?
"I think part of my choices are influenced again by my patient population," he says. "We're going to ween the propofol off because we're going to trick them and then they don't need sedation." The thing about drips in general, you know, drips are great for maintaining a homeostasis type of situation, right? I don't want a lot of fluctuations in blood pressure. Cardine is better than push doses. But there's this inertia of them in that, especially with sedatives, right?"
