The Border Patrol's Expanding Detention Capacity

500 active duty troops arrived in El Paso. And a thousand more set off for the border towns to join the 2,500 troops already deployed to the border. The Department of Health and Human Services is increasing its bed capacity to prepare for a potential increase in unaccompanied children. DHS last week announced over $250 million in additional assistance for communities receiving migrants. On the ground, this assistance and planning didn't exactly meet the task at hand.
