The Myshaw Mission
Oscar Myshaw was a filmmaker, directing and producing more than 44 of them early in the 20th century. He made films about the black experience from a black perspective. His example gave black audiences something to attend and black filmmakers a reason to hope. The year 1989 gave them the name for their new podcast, this limited run series. They've chosen six films that give us a snapshot of where black cinema was at the time.
