I've always broken my heart like pretty on every first cut. He's even said if you're not heartbroken after watching the first cut, there's something seriously wrong. And that fear of seeing that first edit and just going, it's terrible. I think a lot of people do stop at that point. But no persevere with that film. You had a vision. Even if the shots went exactly what you wanted it, the story is still there. Now you've got to make it better and chip chip chip away and get it better. The more films you do, the more experience you have you, you learn to trust that. It usually does. No, it always does
