The History of the Yamnaya Culture

The kurgen culture lends its name to the theory that was first coined in the 1950s, that this area of the world was the origin of all Indo-European languages. The term Yamnaya refers to a period of time that appears to have had a bit of identity distinguishable from other areas and periods. Clothes about the Yamnaya culture can be found by examining the contents of the pit graves. It seems unrealistic to consider that all members of society could have been buried in this fashion. Instead, we can describe the evolutions and movements of peoples and cultures as fluid,. with peoples moving about, mixing with other cultures and evolving into something new.
