The Function of Language as a Mean of Intercourse
Language is not a product of one or another base, old or new, within the given society. For many centuries it was not created by some one class, but by all the classes of the society. Language may equally serve both the old moribond system and the new rising system. It cuts acrossa many, many bases, and therefore it deserves a sort of study its own right,. an object of nature.
