The Samaritan Woman's Story

Dr. Karen Reader is professor of New Testament and co-coordinator of gender studies at Westmont College. Her research interests include the household gender and violence in the Bible and biblical worlds. In her new book, The Samaritan Woman's Story, she explores the interpretation of the story of the Samaritan woman in the context of women's lives in the church. Erin Heim: We're joined today by Dr. Karen Reader to talk about her newest book,. She says it was an expression of her anger that the church wasn't taking a stronger stand against assault and harassment.
