There is no real, really good theory, sociologically speaking. Other thanyt, we do have a much stronger, more longer lasting history of a horific discrimination based on african dissent and other things but there's no particular reason. You know, there are a lots of ethnic and religious conflicts in the us. It used to be really important, either regionally or nationally, and have just nelly gone away. And now its routine, so wise and unthinkable that we could actually get beyond a racial classification in the united states.
