Is It Useful to Track Animals Over Time?

Long-form trackers do a kind of causal reasoning as you talk about it. That is, like hypothesis testing. We've been doing this for hundreds of thousands of years. And that explains why it's useful to us. In the end, like chimpanzees were out there looking for food, they may not be able to do that, but they're also still really good using learned associations and other forms of reasoning.
