I don't think most people see any indications that puton is ready for a diplomatic, negotiated resolution to this war. And what we've seen in the past with the russians is that they use negotiations as a stalling tactic while they are re grouping and re supplying. So why would you do that if you are ready for a negotiated solution? But at some point, all wars do end, and at some point there has to be a negotiated solution. We saw that i world war one. World to were world war won, we had a very harsh, negotiated settlement with germany and the other powers.
