Rishi Sunak's Pledge to Stop the Small Boats
Will Rishi Sunak achieve his big target of stopping the Small Boats? That was one of his five big pledges for 2023 and that looks considerably more tricky to me. The backlog is so big that it's taking years for people to get through to the appeals stage. I don't know what these people are doing because they're just not making enough decisions. Do you think they need to be a bit less sensitive when they're processing the applications? If you're from Afghanistan, say, you just almost get waved through? You have to show a reasonable degree of likelihood that you'll be at risk if you're sent back.
