Is There Such a Thing as a Virtue or Attribute?
I think of vows as a technology, I don't really trust that society is going to be able to regulate technology. The most extreme versions are going to become the ones that are culturally dominant. Once you elevate choice and decision and I can make reality in my own image, it seems like secularism does inevitably come from that. And so I guess if I'm being super deterministic, I would say like being created into a fine image kind of inevitably leads to secularism.
