What's the Main Thrust of the Peer Review?

Only 23% of people recommended reject when the prominent researcher was shown, 48% when the paper was non-amised. 65% rejected when the lesser-known author was the only author shown. People didn't know they were in an experiment when they got sent to the review request. But if they chose to accept the review request, then they were sent to a consent form going, hey, you're going to review this paper. This is actually part of an experiment, do you consent? So at that point, they knew they were part of something. I think this is something which is difficult to do without consent.
