"When you're the editor you're the first audience like you really are," he says. "The thing that took me a while and a craft that you need from your editor is to be able to sit past all of the shit that went into making that movie" He's only interested in directing music videos because it's such a visual visual editorial medium, but doesn't want weight of responsibility on features or short films.
