The Fear of Too Good to Be True

Bob Greene: One of the oddest resurrection accounts in Scripture comes from Luke 24. He says Jesus' disciples see him, hear him and touch him but won't believe for joy. Why? Because they don't want to get their hopes up only to be crushed again, he asks. Greene: Has this fallen world given us any reason not to be joy cynics? Candidly, it has not. We don't need school shootings to prove it.
