The Russian Elite's Struggle in Syria
This started out as a battle between Pragorsion and the Ministry of Defence. And it's very rapidly descending into a direct challenge to Putin, the Kremlin. He must be regretting what he has done there, because he's created a kind of Frankenstein's monster here. It was immensely useful for him to have the Wagner group spreading out through Africa. But now it's turning around and biting him.
