Burns' Talking Heads
"I'm glad that I decided, no, now you have to do things that are a little more original musically," he says. Along with Tina Waimeth, Chris Frans and Jerry Harrison, Talking Heads put out eight albums over the next 13 years. They were edgy, groundbreaking, critically acclaimed and a commercial hit. It all studied art in college and it showed in their music videos, which were in heavy rotation on MTV.
