The Semantics of Reverse Engineering

Everybody loves data lineage. Everybody wants to do the lineage to understand this stuff. But ultimately what we really want to go do is kind of understand reverse engineer. What's going on in that code? And when I reverse engineer, it's not just about, oh, this column came to data here in this column and that column and it ended up in here like. That's the syntax. Oh, I could see that the flow of that stuff. What does it mean?"
