Sanchez's new science would be grounded in empirical inquiry. It would be based not on the chimeras and fictions of Aristotelian science, but on things as they really are. Sanchez does not see fit to say anything more about this epistemology that he thinks would work. In the time of Reformation and Counter-Reformation, even skepticism was weaponized to fight for dogmatism.
