How I Fell in Love With Clerking by Clerking

Shona Johnson: I came to clerking really unintentionally in some ways. In undergrad, I took an education law class where I learned about the legal strategy that had happened to lead to Brown versus Board of Education. And so that originally led me to Berkeley for a master of public policy. So I ended up in the law school originally intending to be a policy lawyer. It was through doing public interest internships throughout law school that I realized that I wanted to make litigation a cornerstone of my career and a cornerstone of his practice.
