The Importance of Prayer

One of the things I was really blown away by is this idea that who is our model of prayer? Well, Jesus. And Mary, right? When I go into prayer, do I pray like Mary? Because she wasn't thinking frequently about my own sin and fallenness and brokenness? She never did. She was thinking of praising God, thanking God, honoring God. That just wasn't a reality for her.
