The Countdown to Detonation

The recording changed once again. This time being played over the speaker was a clip from the famous 1964 hit. Downtown by Petula Clark, an upbeat song overtly brimming with positivity. An incredibly jarring juxtaposition against the unnerving backdrop of the imminent bomb threat. After the brief musical interlude, the recording switched back again to its repeated warnings. And the ever-present countdown to detonation was now getting closer and closer to zero. Five minutes until detonation.
