The unending fire and worm is kind of projected in 2nd temple literature. going to enter the fire with eternal conscious torment And that's what is presumed in the New Testament by, you know, the fiery furnace. So apocalyptic kind of assumes eternal conscious torment as the baseline. Now if Jesus and the apostles substantially change that, that's a possibility, but you would need to have clear and direct evidence explaining that.
