Buddha spoke to everyone about the Dharma, whether it was a courtesan or a lay person. The first conversation that he had after his enlightenment was with someone called the Honka Jati. He asked him what makes someone a Brahmin? Now this was a very loaded question because the caste system in India wasn't really established at that time.
