Homeschooling in Japan

Homeschooling is on the rise in Japan. The government doesn't bother you if you homeschool, a guidebook says. There are three groups for homeschoolers: Christian, general and homeschool support or association. Is it legal? It's not clear but "you can do it," according to the guide book.
