The Opposite Effect on My Funding
In 2018, when I published my first e-neural paper, it was in the top 1% of papers published in the field and at that time. It's been the number one altmetric score for any paper published in e-neurons over the last five years. Now you think that that would translate into some kind of funding? One would. But it absolutely had the opposite effect on my funding. The problem is that NSF grants are smaller than NIH grants. So my lab has contracted quite a bit.
