What Approach Should Authorities Take to Regulate Big Techs?

The choices then faced by policymakers when considering how best to regulate these entities are going to be very difficult. So there are a few policy options we highlight in our paper that authorities could consider to improve the current framework. One is they could recalibrate the mix of entity based and activity based rules. Another option would be to introduce what we call a comprehensive public policy approach. And this one would focus not only on individual entities that big techs have in the group and what they do but also on the activities of the group as a whole.
