The Apochymatoltic Project

Traditional ecological knowledge refers to the knowledge acquired by indigenous and local peoples over hundreds of years. Western scientists come into a place and study it, you know, for a period of time, and they often lack that long term, traditional background knowledge. The name apochymatoltic comes from an elder albert marshall who said we help each other. And so i think everybody came together on this project wanting to work together, to share the knowledge systems," he says. "It wasn't easy... You're trying respect a very different basis of knowledge and uses"
