The Origins of Original Sin
Original sin is a deceptively familiar idea to us today. It was one that developed over the course of centuries and reached its final formulation under Augustine himself. In Genesis, after Adam and Eve eat the apple, the naughty snake is cursed to crawl on its belly. The Bible actually tells us about the tragedy that unfolded in Eden in the early days of creation.
