Solomon and Hiram's Negotiations
Tara Lee Cobble: In chapter five of the Bible, Solomon is preparing to build a temple. She says he does some negotiating with the King next door in Tyra - just north of Israel. Cobble: He sends 30,000 Canaanites from among his work crew to Lebanon anyway. The largest stone in the Temple Foundation today weighs 570 tons that's over 1 million pounds.
