The Importance of Being a Good Teacher
There are many misconceptions about us as autistic and that begins in our childhood. And so the fact that I graduated high school in the 80s completely later it doesn't surprise me because the teachers were wholly unprepared for my type of language processing. It's just assumed that you'll mask it's assumed that you're just going to blend in to get in and all of that stuff. Those of us who are completely out are kind of trying to pull kind of bullied and punished.
