Everything you need to know about financial literacy fits on a single three by five index card. One, max your for o on k or equivalent employee contribution. Two, buy inexpensive, well diversified mutual funds. Three, never buy or sell an individual security. Four, save 20 % of your money. Five, pay your credit card balance in full every month. Six, maximise tax advantage savings vehicles like roth sep and five 29 accounts. Seven, pay attention to fees. Eight, make financial adviser commit to a feduciary standard.
