Bryce: The invention of the Sloane Ranger is a kind of path kind of tongue in cheek observation of upper class cultural life. He invents this group and then the group defines itself, says Bryce. Fast forward about 20 30 years I'm doing a PhD and I'm looking at this group of people who are interested in the clothing of Jack Wills which is based on an upper class Edwardian type he said. Bryce had revisited their sort of thing but in the 21st century and looking at the lives of people who were at university with you know and all the fun things they do from going on ski trips to polo games.
