Are You Pitting Pragmatists Against Healthy?

Mark Whitaker: We want effective missionaries, ones that are practical and can think well on their feet while being adaptive to different contexts. But we also want them to use the manual that they have, which is an plumber's manual. And what we see in scripture is just a desire from Paul specifically in his letters, encouraging local churches to be healthy. Go over, share the gospel, see people wonder Christ by the work of the Holy Spirit and then gather them together in those local churches.
