The Vision of Tundall
A vision from the twelfth century of a knight who falls into a death like state. His soul leaves his body, and he is greeted by an angel to lead him on a tour of hell. He doesn't realize what he's in for, because not only does the angel show him all the various torments awaiting sinners. "Some of these are hideously inventive and very vocative," says author David Walliams.
