You know how they see you, it doesn't matter the exact why. They could just be scared and afraid to have an awkward conversation with you. All that matters is that you find a way to pivot where your focus is. You hold them accountable for that expectation in the same way you hold yourself to it. Your attention is no longer theirs to have. It's away from wondering how they might see you, back to how you see you. And if you are opposed to being hot and then cold with some one else, you should expect the same of them.
