The Importance of Opening Principles in Chess
We have this distinction between practical end games and theoretical end games. I was thinking, I think we need to make that distinction with openings. It's a real struggle because a lot of people hear the advice like, don't study openings. And then they kind of think that means you should just ignore the opening phase,. So yeah, we definitely need to do a better job of like communicating on this point.
