The History of the Homeschool Movement

The Doughers were part of a movement called Institute of Basic Life Principles, IBLP led by Bill Gothard. He had been influential through a set of seminars for young people that was really oriented around understanding and respect for authority. There's a real diversity there in the homeschooling movement, including from people who aren't Christians at all. This don't think that the state system is doing what it's supposed to do or what it claims to do. The series came across an awful lot like a whole way of doing history these days.
