These are makleases, base editors and prime eters - fundamentally different technologies. i would not be surprised if new technologies came out more on the sort of one every ten year time scale, rather than the short view that by two thousand and 19 we should have something else. I don't think there's going to be 50 general mammalion cell generian technologies.
