The Death of Jungqing Khushwang

It took till 1680 before the Qing were able to expel the last of all the Qing naval remnants from their various Fujian hideouts and strongholds. They chased them to Pung Hu in Taiwan, knowing that there were no longer any distractions for the Qing military anymore. And then in March 1681, on the eve of what was to be a massive invasion from the mainland, Jungqing suddenly died. From alcohol poisoning,. it's believed the longevity of the Dongning kingdom was already in question when Koshinga died. So now with Jungqing dying unexpectedly, this further diminished the future prospects of the kingdom.
