The Evolution of High School Debate

Debate has become less about a competition of ideas and more like an echo chamber. The people who judge you at high school debates, that same Saturday morning where you get together, they put out statements that students read before the round to prepare for the debate. They became riddled with political and ideological statements. It's worth noting that when debaters are told what side they have to choose it might not be the side they agree with.
